To perform the work, you will need a universal cup puller.
Removing
1. Remove the transverse suspension arm from the car (see «Wishbone suspension - removal and installation»).
rubber-metal joint (RMS) outer end of the lever (linkage of the lever with a longitudinal stretching) consists of two separate parts.
To remove the RMSH of the outer end of the lever:
2. We clamp the lever in a vice and with a thin chisel we bend the edges of the outer metal ring of one of the halves of the hinge.
3. With a larger chisel, we press out part of the hinge.
4. Press out the second part of the hinge in the same way.
To remove the RMSH of the inner end of the lever:
5. Cup universal puller or a piece of pipe and a bolt with a nut and washers of suitable diameter (suitable cylinder head bolt) we press out the rubber-metal hinge for attaching the lever to the body.
Installation
To install the RMSH of the outer end of the lever:
1. Using a vice and a thrust plate, we press in parts of the new hinge.
2. Finally, we upset the parts of the hinge with hammer blows through a mandrel of a suitable diameter.
To install the RMSH of the inner end of the lever:
1. We put the hinge on the fixture bolt and apply a soapy solution to the outer surface of the hinge.
2. Wrapping a bolt nut, we press the hinge to the lever.
3. Using a slotted screwdriver, we fill the edge of the hinge into the hole in the lever.
Advice. To facilitate the work, you can pull the rubber bushing with a clamp.
4. Completely press the hinge into the hole in the lever.
5. Install the lever on the car («Wishbone suspension - removal and installation»).
