Opening the hood
To access the engine compartment:
- Pull the hood release handle located on the left under the instrument panel (Figure 8.1).
- Locate the hood release handle under the front edge of the hood.
- To unlock the lock (Figure 8.2) slightly lift the hood, move handle 1 from right to left along the edge of the radiator grille and release hook 2.
- Carefully lift the hood, install the stop in the special hood socket (Figure 8.3). For your safety, be sure to insert it into the right wing socket. Do not lean on the hood as it may close unexpectedly.
Warning!
- When working in close proximity to the engine, be aware that it may become hot. if the engine has not yet cooled down, do not touch any parts.
- The cooling system fan may turn on at any time. There is a risk of injury.
Closing the hood
Before closing the hood, place the stop in the holder (Figure 8.3). The hood should be closed by slamming it shut, releasing it from a height of 15–20 centimeters from the radiator grille trim.
When closing the hood, check the reliability of the lock: a characteristic click should be heard at the moment of locking. Make sure the hood is locked in place.

Warning!
- Before driving, pull the front edge of the hood to make sure it is closed.
- it is prohibited to pull the hood release handle while the vehicle is moving.
- it is prohibited to drive a vehicle with an open or partially closed door (with one click of the lock) hood. In this case, the hood may suddenly rise onto the windshield, which will impair forward visibility and create an emergency situation on the road.
The hood is a source of increased injury risk: both when working in the engine compartment – contact with the head is possible, and when closing the hood – pinching of the hands is possible. When closing, be extremely careful if there are children nearby.
