When the ignition is turned on, the electromechanical power steering control unit provides information (light fault code) about malfunctions in the amplifier by flashing the control lamp 10 (see figure 1.7) in the instrument cluster. The time parameters of the light code are presented in Table. 10.8.

* The time the indicator lamp burns indicates whether the signal is long or short:
- initial pause - 2 sec;
- long signal - 2 s;
- short signal - 0.5 s;
- pause between signals - 0.5 sec;
- pause between error codes - 2 sec.
