Removal
1. Prepare the car for work ("Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").
2. Unscrew the two nuts securing the master brake cylinder to the vacuum booster housing (see 140, "Master Brake Cylinder - Removal and Installation").
3. Carefully, without bending the tubes too much, move the cylinder forward and remove it from the vacuum booster studs.

4. Remove the check valve fitting from the vacuum booster hole.

5. Under the instrument panel, remove the spring retainer from the vacuum booster rod pin and remove the pin.

6. Using a 13 mm socket wrench, unscrew the two nuts securing the vacuum booster bracket to the car body.

7. Remove the amplifier.

Installation
1. Install the amplifier in reverse order.
2. Install the master brake cylinder in place.
3. Check the operation of the vacuum booster ("Vacuum brake booster - check").
4. Check the functionality of the hydraulic brake drive, and bleed the system if necessary ("Hydraulic brake drive - bleeding").
