A combination switch is used to switch the main circuits of the car (lock) ignition, consisting of a contact part and a mechanical anti-theft device with a lock. The outdoor lighting and fog light switches are integrated into the outdoor lighting control unit.
The mode switch for the heater electric fan, the rear window heating switch and the alarm switch are located on the instrument panel console overlay. The switches for headlights, direction indicators, wiper and washer are combined into a steering column switch block. High power consumers are switched on through electromagnetic relays.
Attention! Carry out any work on the vehicle's electrical equipment only with the battery disconnected.
Attention! Disconnect or connect the battery only when the ignition is off.
Attention! When checking the circuits of electrical equipment, it is forbidden to short to «mass» wires (check the continuity of the circuits «for a spark»), as this can lead to failure of electrical components.
Attention! It is forbidden to use fuses that are not provided for by the vehicle design or designed for a higher current, and also to use wire instead of fuses.
Attention! When replacing fuses, do not use screwdrivers, as this can lead to a short circuit in the electrical circuits.
Attention! It is forbidden to disconnect the battery while the engine is running in order to avoid damage to the voltage regulator and elements of the vehicle's electronic equipment.
Attention! When carrying out electric welding work on a car, it is necessary to disconnect the wires from the terminals of the battery, generator and ECU (controller).
Attention! Regularly clean the battery terminals and cable lugs from oxides and dirt.
Attention! When recharging the battery using a charger, disconnect the wires of the vehicle's electrical equipment from the battery terminals.
