Check the condition of your windshield wipers regularly (Figure 9.1).
Warning!
- it is recommended to change the brushes twice a year.
- it is not recommended to turn on the windshield wiper on dry glass, as this may damage the glass.
- it is not recommended to turn on the windshield wiper if there is an ice crust on the glass, as this can damage the rubber band of the wipers.
- Wiper blades that are stiff, cracked, or that smear dirt across the windshield should be replaced.
- Foreign matter on the windshield or wiper blades reduces the effectiveness of the wipers.
- It is impossible to remove traces of silicone from glass. Therefore, do not apply silicone or wax polishes to your car's windshield, as this may cause streaks and stains that may impair visibility.
- do not use solvents, gasoline, kerosene or paint thinner to clean windshield wipers. They are aggressive substances and can damage brushes and painted surfaces.
Replacing windshield wiper blades
- With the ignition off, lift the windscreen wiper lever 3 (Figure 9.1);
- Press, slide and hold button 2 on the wiper blade cap.
- Slide cap 1 and remove the wiper blade from the holder.
- Install a new wiper blade.

Replacing the rear window wiper blades

- With the ignition off, lift the windscreen wiper lever 2 (Figure 9.2).
- Turn brush 1 until resistance appears.
- Remove the brush by pulling it in the direction shown.
