Lighting devices with plastic diffusers are installed on cars (Figure 9.11).

To avoid damaging the plastic diffusers when washing, do not use aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents or chemical thinners.

To avoid clouding and scratches, never wipe off the outer surface of the headlight lenses (Figure 9.11) and rear lights (Figure 9.12) dried dirt, pre-wet the surface of the diffuser with plenty of water, use a soft cloth or sponge to clean, do not use sharp objects to clean the diffusers from ice.

Attention! Do not turn on headlights with dirty or opaque plastic lenses in low beam, high beam and fog light modes to avoid thermal deformation and melting of the lenses. The dirty condition of the lighting devices can be determined visually by a layer of dirt or snow that does not allow you to clearly see through the lamp diffuser and other parts of the headlight. When driving, if visibility of the road surface deteriorates, it is necessary to stop and clean the headlights.

Warning! Use fog lights and fog lamps only for their intended purpose and remember to turn them off when not needed to avoid disturbing other road users.

In conditions of very humid hot or cold air, for example during heavy rain, or when washing a car, condensation may form on the inner surfaces of the diffusers of lighting and signaling devices for a short time.

No special measures are required to eliminate condensation.

The disappearance of condensation occurs during vehicle operation and is accelerated when the corresponding lighting devices are turned on.
