Rear bumper — removal and installation (XRAY 1)

Place the vehicle on a two-post lift and apply the parking brake (electrohydraulic lift type P 3.2 G).

Disconnect the negative terminal from the battery (spanner 10).

Raise the vehicle to a height convenient for work.

Unscrew the four screws 3, Figure 2-1, of the lower bumper mount 1 (torx T20 replaceable head, ratchet).

Unscrew screw 2 securing the left mudguard to the bumper and screw 4 securing the right mudguard to the bumper (torx T20 replaceable head, ratchet).

Unscrew three self-tapping screws 2 on the right and left sides, Figure 2-2, of the side fastening of the bumper 1 and mudguard (torx T20 replaceable head, ratchet).

Lower the car. Remove the rear lights in accordance with the requirements of TI 3100.25100.20597.

Disconnect the wiring harness connector 2, Figure 2-3, of the bumper from the wiring harness connector 3 of the rear; access to the connection is provided by removing the ventilation grille in the left side trim 1.

Unscrew the two screws 1, Figure 2-4, of the upper bumper mount (torx T30 replaceable head, ratchet).

Disengage the bumper from the side brackets.

Remove the rear bumper assembly with the wiring harness, passing the bumper wiring harness connector through the body opening.

If it is necessary to disassemble the bumper:



Disconnect the harness connector 6, Figure 2-5, of the bumper wires 1 from the fog lamp 4, remove the harness from the holders on the bumper.

Loosen nuts 3 securing the fog light to the bumper, remove the light (replacement head 10, ratchet).

Squeeze the lock 5 and remove the right 2 and left 7 reflective elements.

Rear bumper beam and side brackets:

The rear bumper beam 1, Figure 2-6 and the side 4 bumper brackets are made of plastic and are attached to the body with rivets

Dismantle the rear bumper beam and side brackets by drilling out the rivets (drill, ∅ 5 mm drill).

Installation should be carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Present the vehicle to the Quality Control Department. The Quality Control Department will check the vehicle for compliance with the requirements of TU 017200-254-0023934 in the scope of work performed.
