The trailer is an additional load for the vehicle's systems and units and affects performance, control, braking and economy. It is not recommended to use a trailer during the engine break-in period (the first 1000-1500 km of vehicle mileage). Install the trailer following the manufacturer's instructions.

Warning! When towing a trailer, use a towing hitch designed for this vehicle make. It is prohibited to tow a trailer secured to the bumper or rear suspension elements of the vehicle. Do not exceed the maximum permitted weight of the vehicle and trailer indicated on the identification plate.

Note: When operating the vehicle at high altitudes, engine power is reduced. In this case, it is recommended to reduce the maximum permissible trailer weight during maintenance by % for every 1000 m of elevation above sea level.

Recommendations for operating a vehicle with a trailer:
  • before starting the trip, check the trailer's lighting and light signaling devices for proper operation;
  • check the distribution and secure fastening of the load in the trailer;
  • make sure the trailer tire size, load rating, and inflation pressure of all tires comply with the trailer manufacturer's specifications;
  • always secure safety chains between the vehicle and the trailer, try to cross them under the trailer drawbar in case the towing hitch fails;
  • do not exceed the speed limit for road trains;
  • avoid sharp turns and lane changes; when turning a road train, make sure there is enough free space for the trailer to pass through;
  • when parked, always brake the vehicle and trailer with the trailer parking brake (if available), do not park the road train on steep slopes.
