Recommendation. While doing the work, make sure that the lamp filament is burnt out. There may be cases when the lamp does not light due to oxidized contacts in the electrical connections. When replacing a faulty lamp, you should check the condition of the contacts in its socket. If necessary, treat them with a cleaning and protection agent for electrical contacts.
External section
1. Prepare the car for work (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").
2. In the luggage compartment, open the upholstery flap.
Note: For clarity, the work is shown below with the upholstery removed.
3. To replace the brake light and parking light bulb, turn it counterclockwise and remove the socket with the bulb from the lamp.
4. Press it in, turn it counterclockwise, remove the faulty lamp and install a new one.
5. To replace the turn signal bulb, turn it counterclockwise and remove the bulb holder from the lamp.
6. Pull the lamp out of the socket and install a new one.
Inner section
1. Prepare the car for work (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").
2. Remove the trim of the luggage compartment door (see "Trunk lid trim - removal and installation"),
3. To replace the parking light bulb, turn it counterclockwise...
...and remove the lamp socket from the flashlight.
4. Pull the lamp out of the socket and replace it with a new one.
5. To replace the reversing light bulb, release the retainer and disconnect the wiring harness connector.
6. Turn counterclockwise...
...and remove the lamp socket from the flashlight.
7. Pull the lamp out of the socket and replace it with a new one.
8. Install the parts in reverse order.
