1. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Remove the fuse and relay box cover (see "Replacing fuses and relays in the mounting block").
3. Remove the screw securing the exterior lighting and instrument lighting control unit to the instrument panel…
4. …and pull the control unit towards you.

5. Press the wire harness connector clips together on both sides…
6. …and disconnect the control unit from the instrument panel harness.
Note: The control unit for external lighting and instrument lighting is of a non-separable design, therefore, if individual parts fail, it must be replaced.
7. Install the exterior lighting and instrument lighting control unit in the reverse order of removal.
