Replacing the throttle position sensor (Largus 1)

The throttle position sensor (TPS) is located on the throttle valve axis (see the location is clear).

Replacement

For engine 1.6 (16V)

Turn off the ignition.

Release the retainer and remove the ECM wiring connector from the throttle position sensor.



Remove the throttle assembly (see here).

Using a key (Torx T-20), unscrew the two screws securing the sensor to the throttle body…



…and remove the position sensor from the throttle valve.

On the 1.6 engine (8V)

Turn off the ignition.

Remove the air filter housing (see here).

Press the retainer and remove the ECM wiring connector from the TPS.

Using a key (Torx T-20), unscrew the two screws securing the sensor to the throttle assembly.



Remove the sensor completely from the throttle assembly.



Installation is carried out in reverse order.
