Removal
Place the vehicle on a two-post lift, apply the parking brake and turn off the ignition.
Remove the rear wheel:
- remove the brake drum from the rear wheel hub axle;
- disconnect the hand brake cable from the brake shoe drive lever and remove the cable end from the hole in the brake shield;
- disconnect the brake pipe from the wheel cylinder;
- remove the rear wheel speed sensor from the brake shield.

Unscrew the four bolts 2, Figure 5-1, and remove the rear wheel hub axle and brake shield 1 complete with pads and wheel cylinder (torx E16 replaceable head, ratchet).
Installation
Install the brake shield assembly with pads and wheel cylinder on the rear suspension arm flange, install the rear wheel hub axle and tighten the four mounting bolts. Tightening torque of bolts 105 Nm (10.5 kgf·m) (torx E16 replaceable head, ratchet, torque wrench).
- connect the brake pipe to the wheel cylinder;
- connect the hand brake cable to the brake shoe drive lever;
- install a rear wheel speed sensor on the brake shield;
- install the brake drum on the rear wheel hub axle.
Check the operation and adjust the parking brake drive if necessary.
Install the rear wheel.
Bleed the brake system and, if necessary, the clutch hydraulic drive.
Check the efficiency of the service brake system.
