Clean the mating surfaces of the cylinder block, cylinder block reinforcement, cylinder head, cylinder head cover, timing cover from liquid gasket (plastic or wooden spatula).
Remove any remaining liquid gasket from mating surfaces (wiping cloth, white spirit).
Clean the pistons and valves from carbon deposits (wiping cloth, white spirit).
Wash and dry engine parts (washing unit type M906, compressed air blow gun).
