This chapter describes all the functions that ensure the operation and control of the windscreen wiper system.

For high speed, if the driver turns off "+APC" while the windshield wiper is operating, the wiper blades will stop at any position. If the driver turns off "+APC" while the windshield wiper is operating, the wiper blades will stop in a random position. Upon subsequent operation, regardless of the position of the CSW switch, the windshield wiper blades will return to the stop position because the CSW or stop position relay continues to energize the motor.

For low speed, the windscreen wiper function is available in comfort mode. When leaving the vehicle (opening the driver's door), the front wiper blades will stop in the AF position.

Configuration parameters

EEPROM ensures that the parameters are saved even if a RESET is performed or the battery is disconnected.

Name

Description

WIPING BY EMM C F

Parameter indicating whether to control EMM whether the front windshield wiper is working or not. For example, when the vehicle is equipped with RLS or not

INTERMITTENT RIN G_CF

Parameter indicating whether the vehicle is equipped with an intermittent mode adjustment ring or not.

REAR_WIPER_CF

Parameter indicating whether the vehicle is equipped with a rear window wiper

LINKED WITH REVE RSE_CF

Parameter indicating whether the automatic rear wiper function is activated when reverse gear is detected

REAR_WIPING_WITH

_AF_CF

Parameter indicating whether the rear wiper motor has the "stop" position (for commercial vehicles)

Calibration parameters

The following parameters should be available for customization and adaptation to the vehicle.

Name

Description

REAR_WIPER_INT_SPEED_THRES

Speed threshold for selecting the interval of the intermittent mode of operation of the rear window wiper

REAR_WIPER_INT_SPEED_THRES

REAR_WIPER_INT_SPEED_THRES
