Removal
Place the vehicle in the work area and apply the parking brake. Raise the hood, disconnect the ground wire terminal from the battery (spanner 10).
Open the trunk.
Remove the two trim fastening buttons and unscrew the left trim 1, Figure 18-3, arches and sides (flat head screwdriver).

Disconnect connector 2 of the rear wiring harness from the control and alarm unit 4 of the safe parking system.
Unscrew the two screws 3 self-tapping fastening the unit to the panel 5 of the left side and remove the control and signaling unit of the safe parking system (t20 bit, screwdriver).
Installation
Install the control and signaling unit of the safe parking system in the reverse order of removal.
Present the vehicle to the Quality Control Department. The Quality Control Department will check the vehicle for compliance with the requirements of TU 017200-254-00232934-2006, paragraphs 1.19.21.3, 1.19.21.6 in the scope of work performed.
