Probable Cause: Extensive corrosion of the water pump indicates insufficient ethylene glycol or additive in the coolant. In addition, there may be a burning smell, a large amount of sealant and baked dark-colored plastic grease inside the pump. Most likely, the damage and leakage of the water pump is caused by engine overheating.

External manifestation of malfunction/breakdown/problem: Breakage of the pump body flange eye.
Probable cause: Violation of pump installation technology. When installing, first lightly tighten all bolts, then tighten them in the prescribed sequence to the appropriate torque specified in the vehicle operating instructions.

Probable Cause: Excessive limescale deposits (insufficient ethylene glycol or additives in the coolant). The presence of sediment led to damage to the internal dynamic seal and the appearance of noise during pump operation.

Probable Cause: Incorrect coolant characteristics or air in the cooling system. When the impeller rotates, a directed flow of air bubbles is formed, which has a destructive effect on the internal surfaces of the pump. Air bubbles appear at a temperature of 90°C (just below boiling point). With the recommended water to coolant ratio, the normal operating temperature is 80°C.

Probable cause: Increased operating temperature. The thermostat and temperature sensor should be checked and replaced if necessary.
