The navigation system determines your position and guides you using the following data:
  • gPS receiver;
  • electronic map

GPS receiver

The navigation system uses signals from GPS satellites (Global Positioning System) and GLONASS, located in near-earth orbit. The GPS receiver receives signals from multiple satellites.

In this way, the system can determine the location of the vehicle.

Note: After transportation over a significant distance without mileage (on a ferry or train platform) it may take several minutes for the system to return to normal operation.

Various updates, in particular map updates, are released regularly. In some cases, the road display on the map does not correspond to reality due to the lack of updating of cartographic information.

It is recommended that you install Naviextras Toolbox on your computer yourself and update the system regularly.

Electronic map

The electronic map includes road maps and city plans required for the system to operate.
