Note: The door is quite heavy and bulky, so we recommend removing and installing it with an assistant.
When replacing a door, remove all hardware from the old door and transfer it to the new door.
1. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Remove the rear door trim (see "Removing and installing the rear door trim").

3. Squeeze the shoe retainer…

4. …and disconnect the wiring harness connector of the door lock motor reducer.
5. Remove the wiring harness clamps from the holes in the inner door panel.

6. Remove the wiring harness protective tube…

7. …and pull the wire harness through the hole in the front of the door.

8. Using a 10 mm socket wrench, unscrew the two bolts securing the door opening limiter to the B-pillar of the body.

9. Using a 13 mm socket wrench, unscrew the upper…

10...and the lower door hinges to the middle body pillar, then remove the door.
11. Install the door in reverse order. Before finally tightening the bolts securing the hinges to the body pillar, close the door and position it so that the gaps in the openings around the entire perimeter are the same. Then carefully open the door and finally tighten the hinge mounting bolts. Check that the door lock opens easily and closes securely and adjust the lock if necessary (see "Adjusting the front door lock").
