General description
The interior lighting unit performs the functions of general interior lighting, illumination of the driver's seat and front passenger seat, as well as functions of communication with the system operator «ERA-GLONASS».
Pressing the key 4 with the icon turns on the general lighting mode. Pressing the key 2 turns on the mode «switched on when the door is open». If both keys are pressed, the key with the icon has priority.
Pressing keys 6 and 13 activates the individual lighting for the front passenger and driver, respectively.
Switches for general and individual lighting modes of push-button type with a fixed position «Included».
- indicator 9 of the in-vehicle emergency call system status is red. Lights up for 5 seconds each time the ignition is turned on, and then goes out. The indicator also lights up if there is a malfunction in the in-vehicle emergency call system.
In-vehicle emergency call system
Your vehicle is equipped with an emergency call system (further SVEOS), designed for automatic (in an accident) and manual call of the system operator «ERA-GLONASS». The microphone and loudspeaker are used to communicate with the system operator «ERA-GLONASS».
- key 3 to call the system operator «ERA-GLONASS» located in the interior lighting unit. Pushbutton switch with non-fixed position «Included». The key press time to initiate an emergency call is 2 seconds.
In standby (with the ignition on) SVEOS carries out self-diagnosis, reception of signals from GLONASS and GPS navigation satellite systems, constant calculation of time, speed, direction of movement and vehicle location coordinates.
Automatic emergency call
In case of a traffic accident (car accident), if the airbags have been deployed or the car has rolled over, the SVEOS generates a minimum data set containing information about the coordinates and parameters of the car at the time of the accident, the time of the accident, the VIN code of the car and other information necessary for emergency response, and transmits it system operator «ERA-GLONASS». After the transfer of the minimum data set, the operator is dialed for voice communication. During the dialing to the operator, the backlight of key 3 flashes red. When transferring the minimum data set and during voice communication with the operator, the backlight of key 3 is constantly lit in red. When making voice communication, the SVEOS turns off the sound reproduction of the standard (or additionally installed) radio receiver (multimedia system, radio), if there was audio playback before the emergency call was made.
SVEOS makes an automatic emergency call only when the ignition is on.
Manual emergency call key 3
A manual call can only be made when the ignition is on. To make an emergency call manually, press key 3 on the interior lighting unit and hold it down for at least 2 seconds. The algorithm of operation of the SVEOS with a manual emergency call is similar to the algorithm described above for an automatic emergency call.
If during the call (while the backlight flashes red), initiated by pressing key 3 , press the key again and hold for at least 2 seconds, the emergency call will be canceled (the red backlighting of the key will be turned off).
Mode «Off»
The SVEOS is in this mode if an emergency call is not made and if the ignition is turned off.
In mode «Off» there is no backlighting of key 3 and also indicator 9 of system status does not light up. In mode «Off» SVZOS does not respond to pressing key 3 . Exit SVEOS from the mode «Off» produced when the ignition is switched on.
Test Mode
The test mode is designed to test the performance of the SVEOS components. The test mode checks the performance of the SVEOS status indicator, the microphone and loudspeaker in the interior lighting unit, the backup battery and other internal components of the SVEOS.
If you wish, you can independently check the performance of the SVEOS by starting the test mode. To start the test mode, you must:
- make sure the engine is off;
- move the key in the ignition (33) into position «Ignition on» and wait 1 minute;
- out of position «Ignition on» make 6-fold switching 33 between positions «Ignition on» And «Ignition off» according to the algorithm described below for no more than 5 seconds.
After the 3rd ignition (switch 33 No. 6) The SVEOS goes into test mode if the engine did not start during the entry procedure.
This will play an audio prompt «Testing procedure launched».
During the test, the performance of the microphone and loudspeaker will be checked. After playing the sound prompt «Say a passphrase» You will need to pronounce any phrase lasting no more than 5 seconds. Immediately after that, an audio prompt will be played «Playing the control phrase» and then the phrase you spoke will be played back. Then an audio prompt will be played «Enter test result». If the testing of the microphone and loudspeaker was successful, then it is necessary to switch 33 2 times according to the algorithm described below within no more than 3 seconds:
If any errors occur during the microphone and loudspeaker test (the spoken phrase was not reproduced, it was reproduced too quietly or with distortion, etc.), then after playing the sound prompt «Enter test result» no switching 33 needs to be done within 7 seconds.
If at the end of the testing procedure any errors were found, you should contact a LADA dealer to eliminate the problem.
If a malfunction is detected in the operation of the SVEOS, we strongly recommend that you immediately contact a LADA dealer to identify and eliminate the malfunction!
When operating a car with a malfunction in the SVEOS, its operation is not guaranteed in the event of an accident!
Backup battery
The SVEOS control unit contains a backup battery, which is necessary to ensure the operability of the SVEOS in the event of damage to the vehicle battery during an accident.
When the ignition is on, the charge level of the backup battery is monitored, as well as its recharging if necessary.
The service life of the backup battery is 3 years.
The backup battery can only be replaced at a LADA dealer.
If any malfunctions of the SVZOS are detected, contact a LADA dealer to eliminate the malfunction.
System status indicator 9
When the ignition is turned on, the indicator 9 of the system status lights up red for 5 seconds, then goes out. Also, the indicator lights up red when any errors are detected in the functioning of the SVEOS.
After switching on the ignition, the internal modules of the SVEOS are initialized and self-diagnostics are performed. This process takes no more than 1 minute. While initialization and self-diagnosis is being performed, the system status indicator 9 does not light up, even if errors were previously detected. Therefore, to determine the presence of errors after switching on the ignition, you must wait 1 minute.
The table below describes the operating modes of the signaling device:
Nature of the fault | SVEOS operation mode | Key 3 highlight color (orange/red) | State 9 |
