First, make sure that it is the creaking of the seats: it happens that the fastening of the seat belt buckle creaks. Moreover, it can creak both at the driver's lock and at the passenger's. Try to press the lock with your hand at the time of the creak (be careful, watch the road!) - if the problem is in it, then it will immediately show up. It is easy to treat - spray any silicone grease both on the fasteners of the lock, and in the belt lock itself (Yes Yes!). If the creaking resumes, unscrew the lock nut (see here) and install a thick washer under it. The creak from this place will be gone forever.
The most likely places for Largus seats to creak:
- where the cushion springs attach to the bracket on the seat frame.
- in a skid
- in places of friction of springs, or a metal frame with foam rubber
- side rivets of the seat
The first and easiest thing to try is a silicone spray lubricant. Do not use strong scented lubricants. Spray the area where the cushion springs mesh with the metal seat frame.
If you find that the sound comes from the friction of the foam rubber, then also use silicone grease.
Lubricate seat slides with solid lubricant (e.g. lithol).
For a more radical solution remove the seat and put pieces of rubber under the engagement of the hooks of the springs.
Try to ensure that the width of the material underlay covers the entire width of the bracket for which the spring is attached.
There are similar solutions when the springs are removed and put on various kinds of tubes, cambric, wrap them with electrical tape, tape. But these methods do not give a long-term effect and are more labor-intensive.
A piece of hose dressed on a previously removed spring also solves the problem of squeaking.
Another reason is the two rivets that are on the side of the seat, one closer to the seat belt buckle, the other closer to the front of the seat.
The rivets are also treated with silicone grease, after which the creak from them completely disappears.
In the process of getting rid of "crickets" do not rush to immediately remove and disassemble the seat; follow the path - from simple to complex.
