Removal
Place the vehicle on a two-post lift, apply the parking brake and turn off the ignition (electro-hydraulic lift type P-3.2G with a lifting capacity of 3.2 t).
Disconnect the ground wire terminal from the battery (spanner 10).
Remove the right front wheel in accordance with the requirements of TI 3100.25100.20594.
Remove the lower and side mudguard of the right front wing in accordance with the requirements of TI 3100.25100.20599.
Loosen the fastening nut and disconnect the terminal of the ground wire of the power steering electric pump wiring harness (replacement head 10, ratchet).
Disconnect the wiring harness connectors from the power steering pump.
Install clamps on the low and high pressure lines going to the power steering pump (clamp Ms. 583 - 2 pcs.).
Unscrew the cap of the power steering electric pump reservoir and pump out the working fluid (brush pump, process tank).
Loosen the clamp and disconnect the low pressure line from the power steering pump nipple (pliers for elastic clamps Mot. 120202).
Loosen the nipple and disconnect the high pressure line from the electric power steering pump (spanner 17).
Install technological plugs in the holes of the power steering pump and on the pipelines (technological plugs).
Unscrew the three mounting bolts and remove the electric power steering pump (replaceable head 13, extension, ratchet, technological hook).
Installation
Install the electric power steering pump in place and tighten the three mounting bolts. Tightening torque of bolts 18...24 Nm (0.18...0.24 kgf·m) (replaceable head 13, extension, torque wrench).
Remove the plugs from the low and high pressure lines and the power steering pump openings.
Attention: Before installing pipelines, be sure to replace the sealing rings on the pipeline fittings.
Install a new sealing ring and connect the high pressure line fitting to the pump. Tightening torque of the nipple 21 N·m (2.1 kgf·m) (spanner 17, replaceable insert 17 type 58 21 10 17 f. "Stahlwille", torque wrench type 50 18 00 04 f. "Stahlwille").
Connect the low pressure pipe to the pump and secure with a clamp (pliers for elastic clamps Mot. 1202-02).
Remove the clamps from the low and high pressure pipes.
Install the right side and lower mudguards of the front wing in accordance with the requirements of TI 3100.25100.20594.
Install the right front wheel in accordance with the requirements of TI 3100.25100.20594.
Install engine splash guard protection in accordance with the requirements of TI 3100.25100.20594.
Connect the ground wire terminal to the battery (spanner 10).
Bring the oil level in the power steering reservoir up to normal (power Steering Oil Mobil ATF 52475).
