Range of the remote control
The operating range depends on the surrounding conditions.
To avoid unintentional unlocking or locking of doors due to accidental pressing of buttons, handle the remote control with care!
Availability of some items (metal objects, mobile phones, electromagnetic radiation, etc.) near the key may cause interference and impede system operation.
To ensure the functionality of the remote control, please observe the following rules:
- Don't drop the remote control.
- Do not place heavy objects on the remote control.
- Protect from moisture, cold and heat.
- Do not use in other cases (for opening bottles, etc.), except those specified in the operating manual.
- Keep the key bits clean, as contamination can adversely affect the operation of the lock cylinders.
If it is not possible to control the central lock using the remote control, the cause of the malfunction may be as follows:
- range exceeded;
- the remote control battery is dead (the procedure for replacing the battery is specified in section 8. CAR CARE);
- frequent switching on of the remote control outside its range, which requires it to be re-synchronized;
- interference from more powerful radio wave sources;
- when frequently switched on and off, the central lock becomes overloaded and for this reason its power supply may be interrupted for a short time.
Warning! When leaving the vehicle, even for a short time, do not leave the key or remote control in the passenger compartment if there is a child in the vehicle (or an animal). In this case, the child may endanger himself or herself and others by starting the engine or turning on any equipment. There is a risk of serious injury.
