Removal
Place the vehicle in the work area, apply the parking brake, and turn off the ignition. Raise the hood, disconnect the ground wire terminal from the battery (10 mm spanner).
The number plate light is integrated into the outer decorative trim panel of the left rear loading door.

Loosen screw 1, Fig. 11-1, securing diffuser 4 of the license plate light to the trim of the left rear loading door (torx T20 bit, screwdriver).
Disengage the locking mechanism and remove the license plate light from its socket in the left rear loading door trim panel of the vehicle.
Disconnect connector 2 of the wiring harness from license plate light 3.
Turn and pull the lamp towards you.
Installation
Install the license plate light in the reverse order of removal.
